BabyCosts Australia is applying for Basic Access to use one Google Ads API capability for internal keyword research. The API supports the content and comparison website described on this page; it does not manage advertising campaigns.
BabyCosts Australia is an independently operated content and affiliate comparison website for Australian parents researching high-value baby purchases. We publish product pages, side-by-side comparisons, buying guides, specification pages, and a baby-costs calculator covering prams, car seats, carriers, nursery hardware, and smart nursery products.
BabyCosts does not sell products, hold inventory, or process checkout. Revenue comes from disclosed affiliate referrals when a reader chooses to visit a participating Australian retailer. Product information is organised around price, warranty, safety compliance, compatibility, and other purchase-decision facts.
The website is operated by one owner. We do not manage Google Ads accounts for clients or provide an advertising service to third parties.
Exact API scope
The only planned API service is KeywordPlanIdeaService.generateKeywordIdeas. The site owner supplies seed terms derived from BabyCosts products, categories, existing pages, and relevant Australian naming variants. The request is targeted to English-language searches in Australia.
The returned keyword ideas and historical metrics help us validate demand discovered in Google Search Console and decide whether to improve an existing comparison page, expand a buying guide, or defer a topic. This keeps editorial effort focused on useful pages for Australian parents rather than producing keyword lists for their own sake.
The tool runs locally and manually on a monthly or quarterly basis, or sooner when a new product, category, or material Search Console demand shift warrants a refresh. It is not continuously scheduled and does not make changes inside Google Ads.

The integration uses only KeywordPlanIdeaService.generateKeywordIdeas. It does not create, edit, or delete campaigns, ad groups, ads, keywords, audiences, budgets, or bids.
One site owner runs the tool manually from a local Node.js environment. It is not a customer-facing advertising platform, agency tool, or service for third parties.
Requests use English-language targeting and Australia geographic targeting so editorial decisions reflect the parents and retailers the site serves.
Keyword ideas and historical metrics are used internally for editorial planning. API credentials and raw responses are not exposed to site visitors or shared with clients.
The API use case is part of the wider BabyCosts business and editorial methodology. Visitors can review the site, the comparison categories, and the explanation of how product information and affiliate links are handled.
