Every product on BabyCosts is cross-referenced against applicable Australian Standards — AS/NZS 1754:2013 (car seats), AS/NZS 2172:2013 (cots), AS/NZS 2195:2010 (folding cots), EN 1888-1:2018 (prams), and RCM electrical safety marks (smart nursery tech).
Manufacturer warranties vary dramatically — from 1 year to 10 years. We surface the actual Australian warranty terms, including registration requirements, extended warranty conditions, and exclusions. No marketing claims, just what the fine print says.

We verify manufacturer warranty terms against ACL consumer guarantees. Under the ACL, products must be of acceptable quality, fit for purpose, and match their description — regardless of the manufacturer's stated warranty period. We flag where manufacturer warranties exceed or fall short of ACL requirements.
All car seats on BabyCosts are certified to AS/NZS 1754:2013 (child restraints). All cots and bassinets meet AS/NZS 2172:2013. All portable cots meet AS/NZS 2195:2010.
